Medical Device Luer Connector Mold Design
This is a medical device, the material is PVC, but it requires cleanroom production. TONGDA LINK has a cleanroom but does not accept PVC injection molding. To support the customer on this project, we made efforts…
- We adjust our cleanroom space to make sure one injection machine can work for this project;
- And improve venting to lower the PVC molding effect on the cleanroom environment and the whole cleaning system.

There are thread features in the Luer connector, mold design hydraulic cylinder drives the rack and gear to complete the unscrewing.
TONGDA LINK did the T1 mold trial in the ordinary injection molding environment.
Luer connector mold validation was taken in the ISO8 cleanroom injection molding room, and CPK results were performed flawlessly.
As shown below, other medical device mold manufacturing projects include medical manifolds, Y connectors, Luer caps, medical tips, medical centrifuge tubes, and medical stopcocks.
